Nylon SLS

We use this technology to produce parts in Nylon. This is ideal when you need a tough and functional prototype or spare-parts. Parts can have very thin walls and look stunning (0.5mm wall thickness). Imagine for example a very light, but robust, architecture prototype… that you can send easily to your customer or paint and study without fear of damaging it!

The 3D object is sliced vertically into 100micron layers that are then built one by one on top of each other. It is the energy of the laser that melts very fine particles of Nylon powder to make the final object. Mulitiple parts can be built simultaneously with the build envelope being 190mm x 240mm x 300mm.

Nylon is a white material, easy to clean and paint. Its melting point is more than 170oC. The full mechanical datasheet for this material is available in PDF here.
