CAD production and assembly by Modla, Nylon SLS 3D printing by D2W

The RSA approached us to produce a 3D printed sculpture inspired by a piece by artist James McNabb.  Jon Fidler from Modla then produced 100 individual skyscaper “sticks” designed to fit at their base in to a connecting core part.  In order to meet the client’s budget, the sticks were designed to fit inside a single Nylon SLS build.  Once printed the 100 parts were then fixed to the central core to form the finished object.
